A high-profile family residing in St.Petersburg is seeking an enthusiastic, sporty, professional, and experienced English-speaking Governor/Governess for their son aged 5 years old to assist in his learning, care, and development.
As a Governor/Governess, you will work with the boy to immerse him in the English language through structured and planned games, interactive activities and play. You will be responsible for meeting his daily needs and offer learning at every opportunity. You will also accompany him during walks and additional activities. You will promote good behavior, teach etiquette, and be a positive role model, supporting and promoting his independence.
The boy is a beginner in English and at the moment there are no academic goals. The focus will be on total immersion into the language through conversation and interaction to enhance communication, understanding and extend vocabulary. As a typical 5 year old he enjoys Lego, police games, and guns). You will also promote his interest in sports.
The family is seeking a candidate who will not only be a great Governor / Governess but also become a big part of the family and offer mentorship and companionship to the child.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Governor/Governess, who is a qualified professional (PGCE/QTS or equivalent preferred but not essential). Previous experience of working with children of this age and in private households is required. The role is most suited to candidates who are energetic, engaging and active. The ability to speak Russian or teach additional languages would be beneficial to your application.
The working schedule will be 5 days on / 2 days off. Working approx 5-8 hours a day. The exact days and working hours are negotiable.
The family is located in St.Petersburg, Russia and travels frequently, the candidate will be required to travel with them and continue to provide fun, educational activities to the child, incorporating the world around him. The household is fully staffed.
This is a live-out position, a private apartment or a rental allowance can be provided for the candidate.
The role is ideally suitable for candidates who are already based in Russia or are happy to relocate.
