CP83 – Full time Governess/Tutor required for B7 & G5 located in Tuscany, Italy. From £850 – £1000 per week, start ASAP.

A family residing in Tuscany is searching for a highly qualified Governess/Tutor to provide a full home schooling timetable for two children age 5 & 7.

The Governess’ main focus will be to provide a full learning experience to the
Children who will be home-schooled. Educational guidelines and curriculum will be given to the Governess – however the Governess will be responsible for the methodology and delivery of learning.

Duties to include –
• Effectively manage the curriculum, with a focus on the children learning and analyzing evidence from formal and informal assessments.
• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
• Create and manage a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment, which is
conducive to children’s learning.
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities and modify
them accordingly to allow children’s fullest participation.
• Create and manage environments in which technology enhances learning and supports higher order
thinking skills and use technology for your own professional productivity.
• Observe and evaluate children’s performance and development
• Assign and grade work, homework, tests and assignments.
• Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities
• Communicate with the parent regularly, consider their input and feedback

In addition to the educational duties you will work alongside a team and assist in mealtimes, maintaining health, hygiene and cleanliness for both children.

The ideal candidates will be a fully qualified teacher (PGCE or equivalent) with excellent knowledge of the British Curriculum and able to deliver project based learning to the children. You should be energetic, passionate, independent, have a love for the outdoors, non-smoker, very good swimmer and generally fit and healthy.

The candidate must be a confident driver, as you will be required to drive the children to and from additional activities.

The Governess would be required to travel international with the family.

The working schedule will be 5 days per week, working approximately 9.5 hours per day. Every other Saturday will be a working day.

This is a live out position and a seperate apartment is provided.

Package:

•    £850 – £1000 per week
•    5 days on, 2 days off
•    28 days holiday
•    Live out position with own apartment provided.

Requirements:

•    Qualified and experienced teacher (PGCE or equivalent)
•    Solid understanding and knowledge of the British Curriculum
•    Energetic, passionate, independent
•    Strong swimmer and excellent driver
•    Start ASAP
