CP121 – Full time British Teacher/Curriculum Advisor required for B14 located in Ahmedabad, India, £1200 – £1500 per week, start ASAP.

We are searching for an adventurous passionate British English Teacher to join a family in Ahmedabad, India to educate, support and develop a 14 year old students English language ability across the school curriculum.

The student already has a good command of the English language and is home schooled. Working alongside the student’s tutors you will be required to offer structured classes following the British Curriculum (all subjects) to promote the students over all understanding of the English language and improve his school level.

You will encourage and develop his ability through everyday immersion, providing a range of additional and engaging activities aside from the structured classes. Additional support is also required in dictation, writing skills and reading. The family would like to see improvements over the year in writing descriptive arguments and essays, newspaper journal writing, suspense essays, vocabulary enhancement, be able to articulate and converse well and discuss on articles and subjects of current topics.

The ideal candidate will have a sense of adventure and have a love of travel yet professional, intelligent, flexible and able to work alongside a team of tutors.

The candidate should have a solid understanding of the British curriculum in order to teach all subjects. Teaching experience is essential (PGCE minimum) within International/British schools.  Candidates who have held senior roles such as headteacher or head of department are preferred.

The family travel regularly and you will be required to offer your services during such travels.

The working schedule will be 5 days per week (usually Monday – Friday).
This is a live out position and separate accommodation will be provided along with transport to the family home.
The salary on offer is from £1300 – £1500 per week (negotiable to the right candidate).

Requirements:
-Minimum 4 years teaching experience
-Qualified teacher (PGCE) with an understanding of the British Curriculum
-Headteachers or Head of departments are preferred
-Enthusiastic, adventurous, energetic and professional
-Available to start ASAP
