A lovely family located on a cattle farm in the outback of Australia is seeking an adventurous, energetic, enthusiastic and friendly Governess/Governor to take the lead role on the children’s education and care.

As a Governess/Governor you will be responsible for delivering the distance education program (provided) to the 5-year-old boy and a play based learning program to the 3 year old. This is the first school year for the young boy, who is meeting all milestones. The young girl has a speech delay and requires some further support.

The candidate will be expected to be organised and prepare lesson plans and activities in advance.

The children’s school day runs from 8am – 2pm. After school finishes the children will be outside where you will be required to provide an array of play based activities and physical education. The children will also spend time at the stables, riding and exploring the farm.

In addition to teaching duties the candidate will be required to meet the daily needs of the children – prepare their meals and keep their belongings tidy.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in private households. A background in teaching and providing a home school environment is desirable.

This position is set in a rural location. The families main business is cattle farming. A love of animals, nature, horses and a sense of adventure is desirable.

Working schedule will be from 8am – 5pm.

This is a live out position with a private house provided.
