Full-time English-speaking Governess required in London for 2 children aged B6 & G8, salary £5000 gross per month. Start ASAP.
A recommended family located in West London is seeking a Governess with a strong teaching background to join their family to provide care and educational support to their two children.
As a Governess, you will be required to work individually with each child to meet their educational needs and promote their development. You should be capable of assisting with their daily needs (getting prepared for next-day schooling, mealtimes, and bedtimes, promoting independence), and providing age-appropriate interactive classes and fun activities. In addition to this, you will be required to create a structured weekly educational plan in-line with the curriculum at school.
The children in years 2 and 4 are doing well at school and require a candidate who has extensive knowledge of the British schooling system to be able to support their academic development and assist with their schoolwork and mentorship.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher holding a PGCE/QTS or MA in education with experience in working with children of this age. Having knowledge of entry exams to some of London’s top schools and being experienced with the 7+ and 11+ is essential for this role.
International travel will be required.
This position is a live-out position with no accommodation provided, therefore only suitable for candidates already located in London.
The working schedule will be Monday – Friday working from 2 pm – 8 pm, working 30 hours per week. A flexible approach will be required with working hours during times of travel.
