A lovely American family residing in North Carolina is seeking a professional, active, enthusiastic Governess to teach and mentor their children.

The children are currently being homeschooled by their mother and are seeking a governess to take the lead on supporting and implementing their education. You will be responsible for delivering and planning lessons following the curriculum and materials already in place.

There are 5 children in the home ranging from 2 – 11 years old. Each child will need to be supported individually.

In addition to teaching duties, the candidate will be required to assist with the daily needs of the children, providing some activities, support extra curriculum activities, play, occasionally providing some time out for the parents, acting as a positive role model, promoting good behaviour and attitudes.

The ideal candidate will be professional, engaging, active, able to use own initiative and work on own but also able to work alongside the mother as part of a team. With 5 children in the home, you will need to able to work at a fast pace, be organised, and take the lead when required. A highly educated candidate is preferred (being educated to degree level as a minimum).

The family already employs a Nanny who you will work alongside.

Working schedule will be 5 days per week. Monday – Friday.

This is a live out position with no accommodation provided. Reasonably priced accommodation can be found nearby.
