A recommended lovely American family from the USA is is seeking an adventurous, energetic, enthusiastic Governess/Teacher to tutor and mentor their two young boys during their summer trip to the UK.

As a Governess/Teacher, you will be responsible for educating the children for part of the day following the American curriculum.

In addition to teaching duties, the candidate will be required to spend time with the children engaging them in their interests, escorting them to and from clubs and activities, play and interact with them, occasionally provide proxy parenting and providing a summer schedule to immerse them in the cultural around them through excursions. You will be required to prepare light meals for the boys if needed and promote independence ensuring bedrooms and belonging are kept tidy.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher (PGCE/Masters/QTS), with experience of the American curriculum.

The family is looking for a candidate who will become part of the family.

This role would best be suited to an adventurous candidate who enjoys travelling. The family will spend most of their time in the UK but will be travelling in Europe

Working schedule will be 5 days per week. Monday – Friday, flexibility will be required. The working hours will be up to 10 hours a day.

This is a live-in position with a private bedroom provided within the large home. During travel a hotel room will be provided.
