A recommended Russian family is seeking a kind reliable and professional Governess to provide a high standard of care and education to their daughter working on Rota basis.

The role will require you to provide 24-hour care during your working shift. The parents travel frequently and therefore the candidate must be confident in being the main carer for the young girl during these times.

Due to the nature of the role the Governess will be required to undertake full caring duties of the child. This will include getting the child up and ready for school, escorting the child to and from school, ensuring cleanliness is maintained with bath time and putting the child to sleep at the end of the day. In addition to this you will be required to provide educational support in the form of homework assistance and subject and language mentoring.

The family currently has a long-standing housekeeper who will undertake cleaning and household tasks.

The child already has a high level and understanding of the English language and attends an International school in Moscow.

The ideal candidate will have an energetic fun nature and who is responsible and confident in being a sole carer as and when required. A friendly and caring personality is essential to build a long lasting bond and trust with the Charge and able to offer emotional support and companionship. Educational and/or childcare qualifications (Degree, CELTA, NVQ/CACHE/BTEC) are a must for the position along with previous experience of working in private households. Speaking either French or Italian would be an advantage in your application.

The working schedule will be one-week on/one week off with the possibility to negotiate this shift pattern. The child currently gets up at 8am for school and goes to bed at 9pm and you will be on call if required during the night.

The family is open to an apartment in Moscow being provided for shifts off (shared with the other Governess working on the opposite Rota) or for flights home.

The salary on offer is from £200 – £300 per day (depending on the skills, experience and qualifications of the candidate).
